WebThe City of Wellington Pipe Band was formed in 1932. The band performs throughout the year at various events within the Wellington Region and has performed in the Edinburgh Military Tattoo on many occasions both in Scotland and Wellington. WebThe City of Wellington Pipe Band hall is available to hire for community groups and business use during the day and evenings. The hall suits birthdays, corporate functions, Christmas parties, sporting events and wedding receptions. The hall caters for approximately 100 people with ample tables and chairs for your use. WebThe City of Wellington Pipe Band was formed in 1932, they won their first New Zealand grade one title in 1955 and with the exception of 1958 when the band went overseas, were either winners or runners-up every year from 1951 to 1988.
