Episiotomy, also known as perineotomy, is a surgical incision of the perineum and the posterior vaginal wall generally done by a midwife or obstetrician. I’m 3 weeks pp, I had a stage 2 year with an episiotomy extension to a stage 3c and I still hurt sometimes if I push myself too hard during the day but I say around 2 weeks pp is when I felt 98% better. I recommend staying on top of it with ibuprofen and Tylenol!
